This blog post was supposed to have me choose between the exercises I did over the past two weeks, that is hard because they are both very good in themselves. I have been using these forms of relaxation methods for so long that they have become second nature to me. I try to do them at least once a day, whether it is when I feel I'm becoming stressed or just before bed to help me sleep. In talking with my friends I try to exude the loving kindness attitudes and positive energies that will help them thru their days as well. I know a few friends who can really benefit from this. I do share these exercises with them.
I know I will continue to do these exercises the rest of my life because they keep me balanced and focused.
It sounds like you have a really good focus on what really works best for you. Meditation is not something that I have always grasped and experimented with in my life, but in the last year as my stress has increased and the focus for myself and a holistic view of health has increased I have really embraced meditation and mental workout and health. It is great to hear from other people who really have positive experiences from mental health exercises as well. Thank you for sharing!

Hello Maur,
ReplyDeleteI have been using visualization and deep breathing for years, so yeah, it does seem like the natural order of things. I am happy to hear that you plan on continuing because research has verified that it can add years to your life and allow you to live a much happier and balanced one. Good luck.
